Character Cleanup

.
.
.

Character Cleanup takes so damn long! I've been slaving away on these suckers for weeks! Here's a few of the Inspector McCloud characters in their presentable state:

Agent John Q. Public

E.S.D. Worker

Willie makes a guest appearance

As does McConaughey (not his first time appearing in this Blawg)

It's not just the initial poses and turns (turns - yeah right!), it's all the damn assets too. Eyes, mouths, arms, hands... kill me soon, please.

Here's the next batch I gotta do:

Next it's on to it's Hugh Grant, Jesssica Simpson, Sandy Cheeks... when does it end??

Public, John? Hahahaha, was that intentional or is my mind simply in the gutter?

Characters look great (especially Willy!) but that McConaughey looks like he came straight from Total Drama Island (not that it's a bad thing).

By the way, I would like to know more about the cleaning up process. For those images, are each character's body parts divided into different layers or symbols or are they just one solid drawing at this stage? Did you trace your original art work with the basic shape tool or with the pen or pencil tool? What is exactly a long time for cleanup? Also, what considerations do you take when designing a character to be animated in Flash, if any?

I look forward to learning more about this project!
